Graduated from Chung-Ang University with a degree in Photography, obtained a Ph.D. in Aesthetics from Paris 10 University. Currently teaches Aesthetics and Contemporary Photography at the university, conducting research with a focus on basic theories of imagery and modern aesthetics. Emphasizing communication with artists, actively engaged in criticism, attempting to write for a wider audience. Served as a member of the National Museum of Contemporary Art Collection Review Committee (2007-2008). In 2010, became a judge for 'Today's Photo' on the Naver portal, and in 2012, planned the Seoul Photo Festival Workshop. Published books include the aesthetic theory book 'Traces of Aesthetics' (2006, Art and Culture), a brief summary of the history of 19th-century photography 'Competition in Photography' (2006, Nunebit), the early Korean artist theory book 'Pioneers of Korean Photography' (2007, Nunebit), the first critique book 'Self-sustainability of Korean Photography' (2010, Nunebit), and the Korean contemporary artist theory book 'Enchanting Photography' (2011, Photonet). Additionally, has presented numerous papers.
